Wildlife

Our services we offer in this area cover:

• Checks - whilst not a separate service we offer, as part of all our works, our staff are trained to look out for nesting birds, bats, newts and other wildlife. We check this as part of the risk assessment and produce wildlife assessment forms to check records of our checks.

• Natural features - where possible we like to advise that material produced during our work should be left onsite. This can be in the form of woodchip piles, habitat log piles or small brash piles. These features can be great habitats for wildlife and can save you money on removal fees as well! Where suitable, features can be cut into the trees to try and replicate natural habitat features found in nature. This can be in the form of bat roosts and bird nesting holes.

• Boxes - we love to install bird and bat boxes in trees, especially where we have had to remove habitat features elsewhere in the vicinity. If you would like help in this area please get in touch.

• Woodlands - we can help with small scale forestry jobs, not just for timber removal but also for wildlife and community projects. We can produce pathways, seating benches, planting and wildlife habitats.
